Azores will have four new natural parks

Natural Reserve Parks are being created on four of the Azores islands; Santa Maria, Graciosa, Faial and Corvo. This will add to the already existing natural reserves on Miguel and Pico. The National Geographic Center for Sustainable Destinations recently named the Azores islands as the world’s second most appealing islands destination in it fourth annual Destination Scorecard survey. The Azores received the title of “Authentic, unspoiled, and likely to remain so.” www.visitazores.org
