Play golf in Algarve on Michael Phelps style

Right after U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps broke all gold medal records in the Olympics, he headed over for some rest and relaxation in Portugal's Algarve region, world re-known for its golfing opportunities. Half Portugal's golf courses are in the Algarve Region at the southernmost tip of the country and currently there are about 30 courses from which to choose. Many of the courses were designed by some of the best golf course architects in the world and they take advantage of the views and the natural surroundings. Players tee off surrounded by red cliffs or dramatic sea coasts, and there’s a course to fit all levels. Resorts in the area sport luxury clubhouses, manicured greens and flawless fairways, and all are open to visitors. Phelps stayed at the unique 5 star Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Resort & Spa
